DUBAI, March 13 (Reuters) – Saudi Arabia purchased 1.043 mln tonnes of wheat for July-August arrival, in its first tender in 2023, the Saudi state buying company Normal Meals Safety Authority (GFSA) stated on Monday.
It was purchased at a median value of $316.86 a tonne c&f, the GFSA stated.
The GFSA was beforehand the SAGO company which was restructured and renamed by the Saudi authorities in January.
The wheat with 12.5% protein content material was looked for arrival in a sequence of Saudi ports between July 1 and Aug. 15. The acquisition was significantly greater than the 480,000 tonnes sought within the tender.
Origins provided have been the European Union, Black Sea area, North America, South America and Australia with the vendor having the choice of choosing the origin equipped, the GFSA stated.
